
As part of the 2025 World Class University Business and Industry (DUDI) Collaboration Program, the Diponegoro University Graduate School held a Zone-Based Waste Management Mentoring event in Pekalongan Regency. This event is part of an effort to strengthen synergy between universities, local governments, and industry in encouraging innovation in sustainable environmental management.
The event, held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the Khas Pekalongan Hotel, was attended by various stakeholders from several regions. Representatives from Pekalongan Regency, Pekalongan City, and Pemalang Regency were also present.
The event was also attended by H. Sumar Rosul, S.IP., M.AP., Deputy Chair of the Pekalongan Regency Regional Representative Council (DPD), who expressed his full support for strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration in the environmental sector.
Also in attendance were the Dean of the Graduate School of Diponegoro University, the Vice Deans I and II, the Administrative Manager, the Academic and Financial Supervisor, the Head of the Master of Environmental Science Study Program, the Secretary of the Study Program, and representatives of the education staff.
In addition, prospective Tribalid investors also participated online via Zoom, demonstrating their commitment to exploring potential collaboration on the zone-based waste management program.
The event concluded with a signing session for a memorandum of understanding (MoU) as the initial step toward realizing the mentoring program and strengthening the capacity of waste management in Pekalongan Regency and the surrounding areas.
