SEMARANG – The Master of Environmental Science (MIL) Program at the Diponegoro University (Undip) Graduate School held a Lecture Evaluation and Preparation Meeting for the Odd Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. This strategic meeting, held in a hybrid format, took place in the MIL Meeting Room, 4th Floor, Postgraduate Building, Undip Pleburan Campus, on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
The event, which began at 9:00 a.m. WIB, was attended in person by the leadership, including the Dean of the Graduate School, Prof. Mochamad Agung Wibowo, MM, MSc, PhD, and the Vice Dean I for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Laksmi. All lecturers teaching courses in the Master of Environmental Science Program were also present to provide input and develop learning strategies.
A highlight of the meeting was the participation of Dr. Jina Yoko, an environmental expert from Japan, who joined online. Her presence emphasized the study program’s commitment to continuously strengthening its international network and incorporating a global perspective into its curriculum.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Graduate School, Prof. Agung Wibowo, emphasized the importance of continuous evaluation to maintain and improve the quality of education. “This meeting is not just a routine, but a crucial opportunity to evaluate what we have done, and more importantly, to design next semester’s lectures to be more innovative, relevant to global environmental challenges, and provide the best learning experience for students,” said Prof. Agung.
The discussion at the meeting focused on several main agenda items, including:
Performance Evaluation for the Even Semester of 2024/2025: Reviewing learning outcomes, teaching methods, and student feedback.
Schedule and Curriculum Development: Ensuring optimal course distribution and the relevance of teaching materials to the latest developments in environmental science.
Strengthening International Collaboration: Integrating insights from international experts such as Dr. Jina Yoko into lecture activities, both through guest lectures and joint research.
Technical Preparation for Hybrid Lectures: Ensuring the readiness of the technological infrastructure to support simultaneous offline and online lectures.
Dr. Laksmi, Vice Dean I, also provided guidance on academic and student affairs, ensuring all preparations were in line with applicable standards and regulations at Diponegoro University.
The meeting concluded with a spirit of optimism and a shared commitment from all lecturers and leaders to ensure the success of the 2025/2026 odd semester and to produce competent and globally competitive Master of Environmental Science graduates.
