

SEMARANG – The Deputy Minister of Public Works (Wamen PU), Diana Kusumastuti, attended the International Conference on Energy, Environment, Epidemiology, and Information Systems (Icenis) 2025, organized by the Graduate School (SPS) of Diponegoro University (Undip). At the conference, held at the Rooms Inc Hotel in Semarang, the Deputy Minister of Public Works emphasized the government’s commitment to developing environmentally friendly infrastructure and energy.
Addressing 130 participants from various countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Pakistan, and Australia, Diana Kusumastuti stated that every national development policy will always be oriented toward environmental conservation.
“In infrastructure development efforts, including energy development in Indonesia, the government is always focused on the environment and nature conservation,” Diana said.
According to Diana, the Icenis forum is highly strategic because it brings together scientists from across the world to discuss global issues such as the environment, energy, information systems, and sustainable development. The Ministry of Public Works highly commended Undip’s SPS for its contribution, which is considered to have contributed to advancing science and recognizing Indonesia’s role internationally.
The Dean of the Undip Graduate School, Prof. M. Agung Wibowo, PhD, explained that Icenis is an annual event for graduate students, researchers, and industry. This conference serves as an important forum for discussing three key issues currently of concern in the modern world.
“We hope that collaboration with industry can be well-established and further enhanced, as it will have a tangible impact,” said Prof. Agung. He added that the Undip Graduate School has established a partnership with PT Telkom and opened a special class in the Information Systems Doctoral Study Program.
In addition to the Deputy Minister of Public Works, the event was also attended by the Dean of the Undip Graduate School, Prof. M. Agung Wibowo, PhD, Vice Deans Dr. Tri Laksmi Indreswari and Dwi Cahyo Utomo, PhD, as well as professors from various countries, both in person and online.
