Semarang – In order to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Environmental Science Masters Program (MIL) of Diponegoro University (Undip), alumni of the 2000, 2001, and 2002 classes held an online meeting via the Zoom Meeting platform on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 19.00 WIB. This meeting is part of a series of activities to welcome the peak of the Alumni Gathering which will be held offline on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
Most of the alumni from the three classes participated in this meeting. Also present were senior alumni from the first MIL class, namely Rahman Hakim and Mrs. Theresia. Both shared interesting experiences during their studies and emphasized how the knowledge they gained was very useful in supporting their professional careers.
Representatives from the 2001 class were the participants with the largest number. This class has a uniqueness because most of its students come from collaborative programs with various regions, such as Bali, Bontang, and Cepu. The majority of alumni from the class of 2001 have now retired, while some are still actively working. An interesting transformation has also occurred in some alumni who initially did not work while in college, now have successful careers.
This online meeting is a place for alumni to reminisce, share experiences, and strengthen ties. In addition, this activity is also an important momentum to reflect on the contribution of knowledge that has been given by MIL Undip to its alumni, as well as how this knowledge can be applied in various fields of work and daily life.
The peak event of the Alumni Gathering on May 3, 2025 is expected to be a bigger event to bring together all MIL alumni from various classes.
