Semarang, November 28, 2024 – Diponegoro University (Undip) Postgraduate School successfully held a hybrid public lecture entitled “Energy Transition to Achieve ENDC 2030 Target Testing NZE 2060 Or Faster” on Thursday morning. The event, which took place in the Smart Class Room, Postgraduate Building A, 6th floor, presented Agus Pramono, ST, MT, a member of the National Energy Council (DEN) who also comes from the industrial sector.

This public lecture was opened directly by the Dean of the Undip Postgraduate School, Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, MM., MSc., PhD. Also present were Prof. Dr. Ir. Purwanto, DEA, Head of the Undip Planning and Development Agency, and hundreds of participants consisting of Masters and Doctoral students from various study programs, especially Energy and Environmental Sciences.

In his presentation, Agus Pramono discussed in depth the challenges and opportunities in achieving the 2030 carbon dioxide emission reduction target (ENDC) and the 2060 Net Zero Emission (NZE) target in Indonesia. He highlighted the importance of the energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources as a strategic step to address climate change.

“The energy transition is not just about technology, but also involves various aspects such as policy, economics, and social,” said Agus Pramono. “This public lecture is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding for participants regarding current issues in the energy sector and encourage collaboration between academics, government, and industry to achieve the targets that have been set.
