Semarang – Diponegoro University Postgraduate School (Undip) successfully held a two-day workshop with the theme “Academic Writing and Publication” on Wednesday and Thursday, 12-13 February 2025. This event was attended by postgraduate students and discussed in depth about writing scientific articles and publications.
This workshop presents Associate Professor Ferry Jie, PhD, FCILT, FCES, a leading research expert, as the main resource person. His presence was a special attraction for the participants, considering his extensive experience in the field of scientific publications. “This training is designed in detail, starting with theory on the first day and continuing with direct practice on the second day,” said one of the participants.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Undip Postgraduate School, Prof. Ir. Mochamad Agung Wibowo, MM, M.Sc., Ph.D Also present were the Head of the Study Program, Secretary of the Study Program, and Prof. Dr. Mustafid.
In his speech, Prof. Mih Agung Wibowo said that the workshop and exhibition of the results of this thesis research was an effort to encourage students to graduate on time. “This is part of mitigating the risk of classes graduating on time,” he stressed.
Apart from workshops, there is also a research exhibition on the first floor displaying the results of students’ thesis examinations. This exhibition aims to inspire their younger classmates. “In three months, during the proposal phase, we will also hold an exhibition of proposal results,” continued the Dean.
As a form of appreciation, students who succeed in publishing scientific articles more quickly will receive a Gramedia voucher. The event closed with a joint exercise session on Thursday, February 13, 2025 and was directly led by Associate Professor Ferry Jie, PhD, FCILT, FCES.
